HOW YOU CAN HELP DIRECTLY

1. Sponsor us for each lawn. Minimum sponsorship of 10c/lawn or $10 total.

2. Support a local Whangarei Charity & become a regular donor to the INTERNATIONAL RHINO FUND OF NZ.

- A regular donation is far more valuable to us than a one-off donation as it provides a regular funding stream for us to be able to contribute to Rhino Conservation Projects more regularly. Become a regular donor via the welcome page- from US$10/month= (NZ$16/month)

(& remember ALL of your donation goes to fund Rhino/ Animal Conservation projects)

3. Make a one-off donation via the donation page on our Website.

4. Get one of your kids to mow your lawn & donate the money to our Charity . That way your kids are helping you and a good cause!

5. We need 100 lawns to mow!

Offer your lawn, tell us how much you’d be willing to donate in return , and we’ll be in touch!

(As a guideline) - if it takes 1/2 hr to mow -suggested donation of $30.

                          - if it takes 1 hour to mow - suggested donation of $50.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO

All money raised will be going to fund patrol units & Conservation Projects in the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park(BBSNP) & other National Parks  in Sumatra.
These Units & projects provide a multitude of direct benefits to the park and its many endangered inhabitants.

BBSNP contains some of Sumatra's last protected lowland forests. It is extremely rich in biodiversity and is home to three of the world's most endangered species: the Sumatran elephant (population: 1500)the Sumatran rhino (population: 200 animals and declining rapidly), and the Sumatran tiger
( population: 300 animals).

The park has been highlighted as a priority area for Sumatran Rhino conservation through WWF's Asian Rhino and Elephant Action Strategy (AREAS). It is considered the most important forest area for tiger conservation in the world.
Unfortunately, loss of habitat because of forest conversion into settlements, cultivation and plantations have become the major threat to the park and it's endangered species survival. Illegal encroachment for coffee, pepper, palm oil and other agricultural plantations has gradually entered the park and contributed to a substantial loss of habitat. The clearing of forest in BBS also increases another serious to the endangered species: poaching.
